Bay Ridge Kitchen -Saint Mary Church is on the corner of 81st and Ridge Blvd. in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn (718) 238-8008  Preparing hot meals for people in hard-hit  New York neighborhoods and is looking for drivers, cooks and grocery donations.
Congregation Beth Elohim Looking for volunteers to donate, make meals or bring meals to Red Hook.

Lave Girl Surf Club Coordinating donation and relief efforts out of the Rockaway Beach Surf Club – mainly   looking for donations and volunteers.
Long Island Cares Inc. Collecting items and food for those affected.
Mayors Alliance for NYC’s Animals Find out information on how to help animals who were affected, foster them or   donate.  Also if you need help with   your pets because you were affected by Hurricane Sandy there is information   there.

Occupy Sandy Recovery List of items that are needed and places where you can volunteer.

PS 84 Jose de Diego School                      250 Berry St  Brooklyn, NY 11211          (718) 384-8063 Collecting school supplies, food and household items for the families of children who   attend PS 317 in Far Rockaway.  Donations can be made Monday – Friday 7:30am – 6:00. pm.
Red Hook Initiative Currently acting as the center for hurricane recovery efforts in Red Hook,   Brooklyn.  They are providing meals and supplies to those affected.

Shore Soup Rockaway Rescue Alliance They are looking for volunteers to help cook and distribute hot food every week.

St. Virgilius Church                                    16 Noel Road, Far Rockaway                  (718) 634-5680 Strong bodied men and women are needed to strip water soaked carpets and other damaged furniture at St. Virgilius Church.  Ask for Father Richard Olmyer.
Staten Island Hope Animal Rescue Trying to locate temporary foster homes to assist people that are in need of housing   for their pets until they can return home.  They also collect donated food for pet parents unable to provide for their pets at this time.
Team Rubicon You can sign up to volunteer alongside veterans who are helping out.
Two Books Brooklyn                                 514 2nd Street, Park Slope, between 7/8 Aves 718-499-3253 Collecting and delivering food, water and supplies to The Rockaways and other affected areas.
